How we develop, review and improve our curriculum resources.
SurePass publishes independent, supplementary study topics for Nigeria’s revised Basic Education Curriculum (BEC) and Senior Education Curriculum (SEC). Our editorial approach is built around curriculum relevance, clear teaching explanations, factual care and accountable corrections.
Our commitment to learners and teachers
We want you to find a useful explanation even when a suitable textbook is not yet available to you. Our pages are intended as learning and teaching references, not as official government-issued textbooks or a substitute for your teacher’s judgement. You can tell us when an explanation is unclear, inaccurate or missing an important example.
1. Curriculum scope and topic selection
We organise study material by class, subject, theme and topic, using the revised Nigerian curriculum as the intended framework. A topic page is not necessarily a single classroom lesson or a prescribed teaching period. We aim to explain the level-appropriate concepts, terminology and skills that learners are expected to understand.
Our library is developed progressively. Where coverage is incomplete or an interpretation is uncertain, we aim to improve it rather than imply that every curriculum topic has been fully covered.
2. Educational value and presentation
Useful study material goes beyond repeating a topic title. We favour clear definitions, connected explanations, Nigerian or everyday examples where appropriate, worked problems, readable diagrams and review questions when they help understanding. A good page should help a learner study independently and help a teacher prepare or supplement a classroom explanation.
Before publication, our team manually reviews curriculum-topic explanations and supporting visuals for accuracy, age-appropriate difficulty, clarity, repetition and relevance. Every diagram and illustration is checked for educational correctness, readability and usefulness—including visuals created with AI assistance.
3. Accuracy, references and uncertainty
We develop curriculum-topic content with reference to the relevant subject knowledge, curriculum requirements and suitable source materials. Our editorial team checks factual explanations and provides context where a concept has more than one accepted interpretation. We do not present another publisher’s work as original SurePass content.
Because curriculum interpretations, school materials and official guidance can change, we welcome supporting documents and informed corrections from qualified teachers and subject specialists.
4. Human educational oversight
Our educational quality standards are overseen by Nnabugwu Onyenachiha Perpetual, SurePass Educational Quality Assurance Director and a TRCN-registered teacher experienced in primary and secondary education. She guides our approach to curriculum alignment, age-appropriate explanations, clear teaching examples, accurate diagrams and correction priorities. Read her professional background and qualifications.
Our editorial team reviews learning resources before publication. A named “Reviewed by” credit is used only for a topic that the credited educator has personally reviewed. This keeps individual review credits accurate and meaningful.
5. How we use AI and review learning materials
Our curriculum resources are developed and approved by people. We use AI to assist with drafting and organising explanations, identify when a diagram or illustration would improve understanding, and create selected educational diagrams and visuals. Our editors make the final content decisions and manually review each generated diagram and illustration for accuracy, relevance, legibility and alignment with the topic before approving it for publication. AI supports this process; it does not replace human editorial responsibility.
Sabi AI supports you while you study or teach. On a curriculum-topic page, Sabi uses the topic you are reading as context to help explain concepts, give examples, answer follow-up questions and elaborate on difficult ideas. We design and test Sabi for useful educational assistance, but AI responses can still contain mistakes or outdated facts. Check important claims—especially statistics, live information, current examination notices, admission requirements and deadlines—against reliable or official sources.
We maintain a corrections process for published material and improve content or tools when errors are identified. For the conditions governing Sabi AI, see our Terms of Use.
6. Educational news and official announcements
Our News & Updates section reports examination announcements, admissions, scholarships, academic competitions and other important education developments. We aim to distinguish official announcements from proposals, explain who is affected and cite the issuing institution where possible.
Registration rules, costs, eligibility criteria and deadlines may change. Before paying a fee or submitting an application, confirm the latest details directly with the responsible institution.
7. Feedback, corrections and ongoing review
We assess reported problems according to their potential impact. A wrong answer, misleading scientific explanation, incorrect curriculum placement or wrong official deadline deserves higher priority than a minor styling issue. We aim to correct confirmed errors and revisit related pages if the problem appears systematic.
To request a correction, please contact SurePass with the page link, the sentence or diagram concerned, what needs correcting and, if available, a trustworthy source. Meaningful updates to time-sensitive guidance should be clear to returning readers.
8. Independence, copyright and advertising
SurePass is an independent supplementary education resource, not a government curriculum body, examination authority or publisher of officially approved textbooks. Professional credentials held by contributors do not imply endorsement by their government employers.
Advertising, app promotion or sponsorship must not determine educational conclusions. Sponsored content, where published, should be labelled. We respect intellectual-property rights and aim to credit third-party sources and teaching materials where appropriate.
9. How you can help us improve
If you are a teacher, parent or learner using the revised curriculum, your feedback can help us find missing explanations or unclear teaching examples. Use our contact page to suggest a specific improvement. For official curriculum requirements, refer to the responsible curriculum authority, approved materials and your school.
