A teacher’s perspective on curriculum quality
SurePass focuses on a practical question: can a pupil understand this topic, and can a teacher use the explanation as a reliable supplementary reference? Educational-quality priorities include the following:
- Alignment with the intended class, subject, theme and curriculum topic
- Accurate concepts, explanations, examples and diagrams
- Clear language suitable for learners and usable in teaching
- Identification and correction of misleading or outdated material
Review accountability: she helps set educational quality standards and review priorities across SurePass. When she personally reviews a curriculum topic, we credit that completed review on the relevant page.
Her work with SurePass is independent of her appointment in the public teaching service.
