The Federal University of Technology, Owerri supplementary Post-UTME window closes Thursday, October 8, 2026, leaving eligible candidates one final day to submit the university application and make sure their O’Level result is properly available on JAMB CAPS.
The FUTO supplementary Post-UTME 2026 exercise opened on September 24 for programmes with remaining admission spaces. The general UTME minimum is 150, but selected programmes carry a higher minimum of 170.
The 170-score group includes Information Technology, Architecture, Chemical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering. Other advertised vacancies span Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Logistics and Innovation Technology, Environmental Health Science, selected Engineering programmes, Physical Sciences and the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Procurement, Environment and Social Standard.
Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, possess the correct JAMB subject combination for the programme selected and have at least five relevant O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
Candidates who did not originally choose FUTO can still be considered where they meet the score and programme requirements, but they must change their institution to FUTO through JAMB before the admission can be properly processed.
The supplementary fee depends on whether the candidate already paid for FUTO’s regular screening. Candidates who previously applied for the regular Post-UTME pay ₦18,000, while fresh applicants pay ₦20,000.
FUTO’s application process begins from the university’s undergraduate portal at portal.futo.edu.ng. Candidates generate an invoice with their JAMB registration number, pay using the Remita reference, return to the portal, complete the supplementary form and finally click Submit.
The final submission step is important. FUTO’s notice says an application is only treated as completed after the candidate submits the online form; generating an invoice or filling fields without the final submission does not place the candidate in the admission pool.
The university also requires candidates to upload their O’Level result to JAMB CAPS no later than October 8 and verify that the upload has reflected. The deadline therefore affects both the university-side form and the JAMB record used for screening.
FUTO lists ict@futo.edu.ng and 08139833300 for support. Candidates should not pay anyone claiming to sell a supplementary slot: the form only creates an opportunity to be screened for an available programme and does not guarantee admission.
