The University of Nigeria, Nsukka has opened applications for its Diploma in Music Education programme for the 2026/2027 academic session, with a ₦5,000 processing fee payable through Remita.
The UNN Diploma in Music Education application opened on September 28. The university’s current notice says registration is “expected to close soon” but does not give candidates a specific closing date.
That omission matters because applicants cannot calculate a final day from the notice. Anyone interested in the programme should therefore treat the application as time-sensitive rather than waiting for an assumed deadline that UNN has not published.
UNN says applicants should visit unn.edu.ng or its portal at uniportal.edu.ng, use a phone number to access the application process, generate and download an invoice containing a Remita number, and take that invoice to a commercial bank for payment.
The processing fee is ₦5,000. The university’s notice does not publish a separate online payment charge, entrance examination date or screening timetable.

It also does not set out a detailed O’Level or other academic eligibility table in the announcement. Candidates who are unsure whether their qualifications meet the Diploma in Music Education entry requirement should confirm with the Department of Music before paying rather than assuming that the same requirements used for another UNN programme apply.
The notice directs enquiries on Diploma form sales to Mr. Orakwe T.S. on 08063533941 at the Department of Music.
The admission announcement was signed by the Head of Department, Rev. Fr. Benedict Agbo, an associate professor. Until UNN publishes a definite deadline, the most reliable position is exactly what the university has stated: registration is open, it began on September 28, and it is expected to close soon.
