Adamawa State indigenes studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria have until October 10, 2026 to submit applications for the Adamawa scholarship 2026/2027 local scheme. The Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund opened the window on September 17 and says both existing beneficiaries and newly admitted students can apply.
The opportunity is intended for eligible Adamawa indigenes enrolled in Nigerian tertiary institutions. The state announcement does not restrict the current local scheme to one university or one level of study, but every applicant must complete the Trust Fund’s own eligibility and verification process.
How to Apply and What Students Should Prepare
The official scholarship domain is asstfy.ad.gov.ng. The state says eligible students should complete and submit the application through that portal before October 10. It has also announced an offline application option for applicants in locations with poor internet connectivity.
The Trust Fund’s public notice does not publish a complete document checklist in the announcement itself, so applicants should follow whatever document fields are currently displayed inside the official portal. As a practical preparation step, students should have their admission/enrolment information, school identification, proof of Adamawa origin and current academic details available in case the portal requests them.
- Open the official Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund portal.
- Use the local scholarship application route shown for the 2026/2027 cycle.
- Create or access your applicant account where required.
- Enter your personal, institution and academic information accurately.
- Upload only the supporting documents requested by the official form.
- Review the application before submission and submit only once.
- Save any acknowledgement, application number or confirmation page generated by the system.
The Trust Fund has specifically warned applicants against making multiple applications. Submitting more than once does not improve the chance of selection and can complicate verification.
The official portal has also recently undergone maintenance. If the site temporarily displays a maintenance message, applicants should not switch to an unofficial website that asks for money or sensitive details. Retry the official domain and, where available, use the offline mode the Fund announced for applicants with connectivity problems.
Five Days Is Not Much Time
Students should not wait until October 10 to begin locating school or indigeneship documents. A portal problem, missing document or incorrect personal detail is much easier to fix several days before the deadline than in the final hours.
The current state announcement does not say that applicants should pay an application fee, so students should be cautious if an unofficial person demands money simply to submit the form. The safest rule is to follow the instructions generated by the official Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund system itself.
For eligible students, the Adamawa scholarship 2026/2027 window is now in its final days. Complete the application through the official state route by October 10 and keep proof of submission.
