The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti, has opened supplementary admission into three newly approved programmes for the 2026/2027 session, giving candidates until 12 noon on Tuesday, October 13 to complete the process.
The FUTES supplementary admission exercise covers Artificial Intelligence in the Faculty of Computing, Telecommunication Science in the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, and Tourism and Hospitality Management in the Faculty of Environmental Sciences. The university said the three programmes were recently approved by the National Universities Commission and that all admissions will be processed through JAMB’s Central Admissions Processing System.
Applicants must have sat the 2026 UTME and scored at least 160. They must also be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026. FUTES says candidates need at least five relevant O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, or six credits where the result is being presented from two sittings.
For Artificial Intelligence, the university specifically lists English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the UTME subjects. Its notice gives the O’Level requirement for both Artificial Intelligence and Telecommunication Science as English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and another science subject.
The notice does not separately spell out a UTME subject combination for Telecommunication Science. Candidates for that programme should therefore check the live university portal and the current JAMB brochure before paying rather than assuming that the Artificial Intelligence combination automatically applies.
For Tourism and Hospitality Management, FUTES says candidates should have English Language and Mathematics together with relevant subjects drawn from Geography, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Food and Nutrition, Agricultural Science, Civic Education, Commerce, Home Economics, History, Fine Arts and Marketing. Because the university’s published wording is broad, candidates should verify the exact combination required for their own UTME and O’Level records on the admission portal.
Candidates who did not initially choose FUTES as first choice are not automatically excluded. The university says applicants whose details do not appear as first-choice candidates can use the “OTHER” option on the admission portal, but they must complete a Change of Institution to FUTES-IYIN on JAMB before the Post-UTME registration window closes.
The screening costs ₦2,000, while FUTES also charges a ₦3,000 portal access fee, bringing the university-side payment to ₦5,000. Payment is made through Remita from the official admission portal at portal.futes.edu.ng.
The university says it will conduct the final screening of eligible candidates and notify them of their aggregate scores. That means paying and submitting the form does not by itself amount to an admission offer.
FUTES lists 08067271169 and 09052227784 for enquiries. Candidates should use the university portal and official contacts, especially because the October 13 deadline falls at noon rather than at the end of the day.
