Candidates hoping to enter the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun through its newly approved programmes have only one day left to act. The FUHSI supplementary Post-UTME application closes Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and the university says only candidates who meet the exact subject requirements should apply.

The supplementary exercise followed National Universities Commission approval for four new degree programmes: B.Sc. Healthcare Administration and Hospital Management, B.Sc. Social Work, B.Sc. Medical Physics and B.Sc. Chemistry. The minimum 2026 UTME score for all four is 180.

Course-by-Course Requirements

  • Healthcare Administration and Hospital Management: UTME subjects — English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. O’Level — five credits in not more than two sittings including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Social Work: UTME subjects — English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Geography, plus another Arts or Social Science subject. O’Level — five credits in not more than two sittings including English, Mathematics and three relevant Arts/Social Science subjects.
  • Medical Physics: UTME subjects — English Language, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. O’Level — five credits in not more than two sittings including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Chemistry: UTME subjects — English Language, Chemistry and any two of Physics, Mathematics or Biology. O’Level — five credits in not more than two sittings including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

FUHSI has issued a specific warning about subject combinations: a candidate who registers with the wrong UTME or O’Level combination can be disqualified even if the UTME score is above 180. Candidates should therefore compare the requirements above with their actual JAMB and O’Level records before paying or submitting the supplementary application.

FUHSI must also be the candidate’s first-choice institution. Candidates who selected the university as second choice, or did not select it at all, are instructed to complete a Change of Institution through JAMB before relying on the supplementary application.

How to Register Before the Portal Closes

  1. Open the official FUHSI Admissions Application Portal.
  2. Create an account if you do not already have one. The portal requires a valid email address because an activation link is sent to that email.
  3. Enter your 2026 UTME registration number and personal details exactly as they appear on your JAMB records.
  4. Choose the correct supplementary programme and confirm that your UTME subject combination matches the programme requirement.
  5. Generate the official payment invoice through the portal and complete payment only through the university-approved channel.
  6. Enter your O’Level subjects and grades carefully and upload the required candidate information and passport photograph.
  7. Make sure your O’Level result has also been uploaded to JAMB CAPS. FUHSI specifically identifies this as an important admission requirement.
  8. Review the form before final submission and print/save the registration acknowledgement.

The FUHSI application portal says the uploaded passport photograph must not exceed 100KB and warns candidates that the photograph becomes part of the university record. Applicants should therefore use a recent, clear passport photograph rather than a casual phone image.

Candidates having technical problems can contact helpdesk@fuhsi.edu.ng or send a WhatsApp message to 08071380453. FUHSI has also warned applicants not to pay admission money into a private bank account or through an agent. The deadline is October 6, so candidates who genuinely qualify should complete the process now rather than depend on an extension that the university has not announced.
