Qur’an Reading and Memory Verse
The Qur’an teaches us about Wudu. Allah tells us how to prepare for prayer by washing ourselves.
The following verse from the Qur’an explains the steps of Wudu:
Transliteration: Yā ‘ayyuha al-ladhīna ‘āmanū ‘idhā qumtum ‘ilá aş-şalāti faghsilū wujūhakum wa ‘aydīyakum ‘ilá al-marāfiqi wam-saĥū bi-ru’ūsikum wa ‘arjulakum ‘ilá al-ka’bayn.
Meaning: “O you who believe! When you rise to pray, wash your faces, and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads, and wash your feet up to the ankles.”
This verse is from Surah Al-Ma’idah, Ayah 6. It reminds us of the main parts to wash during Wudu.
